Some women will show characteristics or symptoms indicative of the presence of a fertility disorder. In other women there may be no symptoms whatsoever. However unpleasant symptoms may seem, in one sense they are advantageous in that they can help pinpoint the cause of reduced fertility and help speed up the diagnostic process.

It is important for a woman to know her body, and be aware of any changes. Physical changes, such as irregular or absent menstruation, abdominal pain, chronic acne and weight gain can all be indicators of a fertility problem. By informing your GP immediately of such symptoms, you can speed up diagnosis bringing you and your partner a step closer to your goal of having a child.
